The marketplace search infrastructure has received a major update with the deployment of a new search engine supporting Boolean queries, multi-dimensional simultaneous filtering, and saved search functionality. This addresses one of the most consistently requested features in community feedback forums over the preceding year.

The Boolean query support allows users to construct complex searches with AND, OR, and NOT operators. A user can search for listings matching specific product terms while excluding certain categories or shipping origins — a common need for buyers with specific regional requirements or category preferences not supported by simple keyword search.

Simultaneous multi-dimensional filtering enables applying multiple filter criteria in a single search: ship-from country, ship-to regions, payment method accepted, vendor tier (New/Standard/Verified), price range, and product tags can all be applied at once without the search engine requiring multiple sequential queries.

Performance testing conducted during deployment showed that even complex multi-filter queries return results in under 800 milliseconds on the Tor network — competitive with simpler implementations given Tor's inherent latency.
